I'm not dead

Singing along to: Iron & Wine, Resurrection Fern. Except for this song and "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" I am pretending Iron & Wine's latest album doesn't exist. It breaks my heart to do that.

The other day, I realized with a shock that I haven't updated since February 25. I really have no excuses for this except, well... No. There aren't any. Heck, I spent ten days of that time on spring break, during which I did nothing wilder or more exotic than finish watching season three of Battlestar Galatica and buy a suit at the mall. I know. A suit. Eww. (Dear Smithsonian, I bought a suit for you, please interview and give me an internship, mmkay?)

So...I'm not dead. And that's pretty much the extent of it.

Oh, right! I also jumped on another Internet bandwagon (I love Internet bandwagons) and made myself a Twitter account, because, I don't know? It seemed like a good idea? The entire Internet was doing it....a long time ago? Either way, whatever passing thoughts I can compress into 140 characters or less are now hanging out in a badly-formatted text chunk in my sidebar, right under where it says "Twitter with me." You're impressed. I can tell.

Oh, yeah, and I also got on-campus housing. I am grateful and I am trying to be optimistic, but I am living with four strangers (and a kitchen!), and I won't lie: that scares me a little bit. I've heard they're all really nice people, and I don't doubt that, but still. I am shy. And frequently not very nice. But at least all my friends and I are on-campus for senior year, if not living the super-fabulous trailer trash life we envisioned.

Life goes on.
